MELISSA CONLEE
Melissa J. Conlee grew up in Jackson where she attended Jackson Academy. She received a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology and an MBA with a concentration in Healthcare from Belhaven University. Melissa was inducted into the Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society. She has also received numerous certifications while working in the field of eye care. These certifications include optometric assistant, ophthalmic assistant, ophthalmic scribe, ophthalmic surgical assistant, ophthalmic technician, and a certification in low vision. With an extensive background in eyecare, Melissa has more than 25 years' experience assisting with general eye exams, assisting in surgery, testing, refraction, low vision, and management. The majority of that time has been spent working in the ophthalmology specialty of Retina. During that time, she has spent many hours holding the hands of patients. Providing empathy for patients during procedures and finding low vision devices for visually impaired patients are her passions.
Melissa currently resides in Gluckstadt with her husband, Nathan and her two sons, Nate and Dash. She enjoys spending time with her family on the ball field cheering for her son or relaxing at the beach.
